Conte replaces Nuno at Tottenham

Journalist claims Ibrahimovic wanted Conte at Milan but was overruled

Sempre Milan

Antonio Conte has agreed to stay as Tottenham’s manager after a meeting on Friday in Turin with Fabio Paratici, according to Sky in Italy.

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Antonio Conte as our Head Coach on a contract until the summer of 2023, with an option to extend.

Antonio has won league titles with Juventus, Chelsea and Inter Milan and is one of the most decorated managers in European football.

He has also managed Italy, leading the Azzurri to the quarter-finals of Euro 2016.

Conte replaces Nuno Espirito Santo, who was sacked on Monday following a poor run of results.

Tottenham are eighth in the Premier League after winning five, drawing three and losing five of their opening 13 games.

Conte’s first game in charge will be at home to Vitesse Arnhem in the Europa Conference League on Thursday.

He will then take charge of his first Premier League game away to Everton on Sunday.
